Roads
Department

The Town of LaFayette is responsible for the maintenance and repairs of the Town’s 42.64 miles of roads and highways. The services range from pothole repairs in spring to rural ditch mowing in summer, to snow removal in the winter months. Maintenance crews also remove debris from the roads and ditches and trim trees in the right-of-way.

Have you noticed a missing street sign, drainage issue, or any other roadside problem that needs to be brought to our attention? If so, please contact the Roads Supervisor.

DRIVEWAY INSTALLATION
The Town requires a permit for a driveway and/or culvert installation.  Complete the
DRIVEWAY PERMIT APPLICATION and submit with the appropriate fee.  Read the Town’s REQUIREMENTS FOR DRIVEWAY CONSTRUCTION for construction information.

WORKING IN THE TOWN’S RIGHT OF WAY
Planning to do any work in the Town’s right of way?  A permit and bond are required.  Complete the ROW WORK PERMIT APPLICATION and return along with the bond to the Roads Supervisor prior to doing any work.
